Function Description American Express has implemented a comprehensive screening process to identify all potential and existing account relationships among all lines of business with Sanctioned Persons & Entities and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP). The screening team performs a critical role in ensuring that American Express adheres to international regulations. This position will work globally with various teams across American Express, market compliance officers, line of business representatives and CADENCE users, among others. Job Responsibilities Conducting Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons screening in Bridger, the enterprise screening tool Performing enhanced due diligence research Collaborating with lines of business and market compliance teams to investigate and resolve potential sanctions matches Timely clearance of Bridger hits which surface during the time of payments processing/batch scanning/real time etc. as per the sanctions manual /relevant policy in force from time to time Meeting established Compliance & Control goals Must be able to work flexible hours to support the different FX & Global Pay locations Timely reporting and escalation of significant issues Strong flexibility/ adaptability to manage multiple tasks within stringent time frames while maintaining accuracy Should be organized and focused on seamless process delivery having a keen eye for detail and strong bent of mind towards controls and compliance Strong learner with the ability to learn while doing the job This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
