Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Team Assistant (AHA or EN) will work under the direction and supervision of the teams Health Professionals, with a clinical supervisor available to assist in ensuring the successful applicant is competent and confident with tasks.

The Team Assistant will provide person centred care with an opportunity to:

  • Travel across the Goulburn Valley region working in home based settings
  • Work with a diverse range of clients and health conditions
  • Work with clients, carers and families to provide exercise, therapy and skill develop programs to improve independence
  • Support group programs
  • Deliver and safely set-up client equipment and aids
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Undertake a range of non clinical tasks such as supporting fleet maintenance and requirements, quality activities, maintaining equipment inventory and stock take

The role involves 3 main areas which includes the i) delivery of direct client care, ii) client related administration tasks and iii) non-client administration tasks to assist the efficient functioning of the team.
To succeed in the role the Team Assistant will need to have high level organisation skills, ability to plan and schedule time efficiently, an ability to complete a range of clinical and administrative tasks and have very good IT skills. A comprehensive orientation program is provided.
