JOB SUMMARY

As a part of our Team Experience crew, you are responsible for leading initiatives that enhance the day-to-day life and overall experience of our seasonal and year-round staff. This includes managing staff housing, supporting internal communications, organizing events, and collaborating across departments to ensure staff feel valued, supported, and connected. You’ll also coordinate shuttle transportation with the designated staff bus driver to support timely and efficient staff movement on and off the mountain. You are a front-line staff member, problem solving and providing excellent customer service to create an inclusive experience, united by adventure and empowered by community.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong administrative and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Previous experience in housing, transportation, or employee services preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 4 an asset)
  • Comfortable working in a mountain environment in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs if needed
  • Must be adaptable, have strong problem-solving skills, and be a team player
  • Available weekends and holidays as required
  • Family-oriented resort—must enjoy working with people of all ages
  • Cross-department support and snow removal is required from all positions at SMR

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all staff housing operations including:

  • Room allocations and assignments

  • Resident communications, check-ins, and check-outs
  • Bi-weekly inspections with support from Resident Advisors
  • Policy enforcement and coordination of repairs with Maintenance
  • Maintain accurate floor plans and housing logs in coordination with HR
  • Work with Accounting and Payroll to manage damage deposits, rent collection, fines, and monthly reconciliations
  • Keep all housing communications up to date (staff housing website, handbook, social media, etc.)
  • Lead regular Staff Housing Committee meetings and share updates with leadership
  • Coordinate all staff shuttles and weekly town trips with the bus driver, ensuring schedules align with department needs
  • Monitor access to staff housing and enforce safety protocols
  • Maintain inventory and manage purchasing of unit supplies in line with budget
  • Plan and host weekly staff events (on- or off-mountain)
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality and Maintenance departments for event logistics and building support
  • Assist with uniform distribution and upkeep
  • Support onboarding, employee perks, reward programs, and other engagement initiatives
  • Maintain clean and accurate electronic employee files
  • Be available to support other departments during busy operational days
  • Practice safe work procedures
  • Maintain a professional and respectable appearance
  • Other duties as assigned
