You’ll take ownership of our ledgers and consolidated financial statements, driving process improvements and automation to make our financial operations faster and smarter. Collaborating with external partners and internal teams, you’ll ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency, helping shape the future of finance at one of Europe’s fastest-growing market research companies. What you’ll be doing Maintaining Appinio GmbH financial ledgers, constantly finding new and more efficient processes to prepare them earlier and with less manual work - we will be working with Light.inc. Preparing and own the consolidated financial statements (in Lucanet) Performing month-end and year-end close processes together with external tax advisors Owning the GmbH audit process, currently in close collaboration with PwC Ensuring accounts payable and receivable are reconciled (supported by Light.Inc and Payhawk) Constantly challenging the way ledgers are being prepared and what processes really adding value, with the overarching objective being a truly digital, scalable accounting function. Working together with external advisors to ensure we are compliant on topics such as transfer pricing. You will thrive in this role if You have minimum 5 years of work experience as a Financial Accountant or a similar role - ideally in a start-up or other fast-paced environment. You have minimum 2 years of experience with ERP systems, big plus if you were involved in the rollout of an ERP before. You constantly challenge the status quo and are not comfortable repeating the same tasks again and again if there is a better solution. You completed an accounting apprenticeship, ideally with German additional qualification as "Finanzbuchhalter". You are very comfortable with German tax and accounting standards, knowledge in IFRS is a plus. You have proven experience in Datev and MS Excel. You have an in-depth understanding of business accounting procedures. You have a positive and helpful attitude, as well as a pragmatic approach. You have German skills at C2 level as well as fluency in English. What’s in it for you?
