Ramboll’s Tunnel and Underground Space team is the place for you! We are looking for a new Team Lead to enhance our team. To thrive in this role, you must have a strong track record in tunnel and underground space design and an ability in team leadership. Joining our Global Spearhead As our new Team Lead you will be part of our Major Projects Spearhead. You’ll be joining colleagues from all over the world working on a wide range of projects both in the UK and globally. By combining local experience and insights with our global knowledge base, we provide our clients with the most qualified expertise to deliver the best solutions. We also offer a complete service by acting as trusted advisers to our clients at every stage of the project life: from strategy development and planning to detailed design and execution. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: Act as the daily manager of our UK Tunnels team, including being responsible for guiding, motivating, and supervising employees to meet organizational goals Act as immediate manager for the staff in the team, including conducting the PDP (Personal Development Plan) dialogue and development process with individual employees in the team Leading and supporting the team in tasks including design analysis, reports, drawings and tendering Take part in fulfilling our strategic goals and targets​ in the wider Global Tunnel Team Take part in general business development and the planning and coordination of market exposure (conferences, memberships, academic papers etc) What are we looking for? For this role, we believe your starting point should be: Master’s degree in engineering and/or Science (MSc, MEng or similar) Strong capabilities and experience in tunnel & underground space projects Strong leadership and managerial skills Strong network within public and private clients in the UK tunnel and underground space Be a member of the institution of Civil Engineers and have gained Chartership (MICE, CEng) Good team working and problem-solving skills Ideally 10+ year experience in the tunnelling or civil engineering consultancy / construction Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include a passion for people management and for delivering innovative and high-quality design solutions.
