JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Lead to join our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for fostering a collaborative team environment.
This role works under the direction of and reports directly to the Production Area Lead. The role holder is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their allocated department(s), achieving targets, and maintaining excellent standards.
The role holder spends approximately 70% of time on production department operations and approximately 30% of time overseeing and supporting the Production Technician team via the following Team Lead accountabilities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the effective implementation of work schedules to achieve productivity, quality, and departmental goals.
  • Oversee daily operations of allocated teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspire and motivate your team through hands-on leadership, training, performance management, and active involvement in recruitment.
  • Champion Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ), fostering a safe and compliant workplace by maintaining updated risk assessments, training records, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure timely completion of corrective actions and adherence to best practices.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring they are consistently applied across all areas of responsibility.
  • Partner with R&D and Quality teams to identify root causes of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences to protect customer satisfaction.
  • Work seamlessly with other departments to promote the efficient flow of information, resources, and processes across the organization.
  • Stay flexible in responding to changing needs, embracing additional duties or shifts in assignments to support organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and labour requirements, driving efficiencies that enhance overall performance.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Good ability for data analytics and decision making.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Experience of working on projects.
  • Experience of working to targets.

TECHNICAL, PROFESSIONAL, AND PERSONAL CAPABILITIES

  • The ability to cope with business evolution and constant change.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Desire to continually develop skills and capabilities.
  • Good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
