About the Role: The Team Leader – Buffalo Builders plays a key role in leading field operations for Buffalo’s self-performed scopes of work. This role is responsible for coordinating daily construction activities, leading the crew, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and with the high-quality standards Buffalo is known for. This position partners closely with the Project Manager, Field Manager, and the broader project team to ensure projects are completed Buffalo Ready and On Time (BROT). The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands how to drive production in the field, and enjoys mentoring and developing crew members. What You’ll Do: Lead Field Operations Manage and coordinate daily field activities for Buffalo Builders self-performed work. Lead and participate in weekly crew production meetings and jobsite production meetings. Collaborate with the Project Manager and Field Manager to develop and maintain the construction schedule. Coordinate scheduled construction activities and ensure work progresses according to plan. Support and collaborate in the Herd Build Cycle led by the Project Construction Team. Drive field operations to deliver projects that are Buffalo Ready and On Time (BROT). Manage Labor & Cost Tracking Audit weekly crew timecards using Procore Timecards. Partner with the Project Accountant to ensure accurate labor tracking and reporting. Monitor labor productivity and work to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Ensure Quality Workmanship Lead QA/QC efforts for Buffalo Builders’ scope of work. Ensure work aligns with project drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and approved submittals. Identify and resolve quality issues or deviations from approved plans. Document and track deficiencies using Procore Observations and Punch List tools. Promote a Culture of Safety Ensure all work complies with project safety plans, codes, and safety standards. Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safety plans for self-performed scopes. Conduct and document weekly safety inspections and audits. Coordinate with the project safety team to ensure required certifications and protocols are met. Manage Tools, Equipment & Materials Oversee tools and equipment for Buffalo Builders’ scopes of work. Coordinate material procurement, logistics, storage, and inventory. Expedite building components and materials to maintain the project schedule. Communicate & Report Progress Prepare accurate and detailed daily field reports. Communicate weekly schedule updates with the Project Manager, Field Manager, and site team. Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders to support efficient jobsite operations. Support Pre-Construction Assist the project management team with construction schedule preparation. Review project scopes to ensure a full understanding of work to be performed. Provide field insight that helps set projects up for success before construction begins.
