The Team – your impact
As Team Lead (f/m/d) – Analytics Engineering, you will join the leadership team of E.ON Digital Technology and take ownership of a key capability area. Together with your team of analytics engineers, you will shape and deliver innovative data products that support the digital transformation of E.ON’s international business – from power generation to grid operations and corporate functions. You will drive smarter decisions, accelerate sustainability efforts, and strengthen E.ON’s role in shaping the energy transition across Europe.
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
- Join the leadership team of our Technology Consulting division, contributing to strategic direction, resource planning, and capability development, lead and inspire a high-performing analytics engineering team to develop scalable, cloud-based data solutions for cross-functional use cases
- Act as the primary interface for business stakeholders, identifying opportunities for analytics to create new engagements continuously
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget and take ownership of the P&L of your team and ensure full utilization
- Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, mentoring your team and promoting continuous learning and development
- Representing the team internally and externally, helping attract top talents, speaking at conferences, inspiring others with their passion for data, and supporting E.ON’s digital brand
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
- Several years of experience in analytics or data engineering roles, including proven leadership responsibility in a complex, corporate environment
- Strong understanding of how data enables digital transformation in operational and corporate settings - ideally in the energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors. Experience in applying Analytics in Corporate Functions (e.g. Finance, Procurement, HR) is a plus
- Hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Databricks, Fabric) and familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus. Experience with SAP SAC is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact and stories to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
- Strategic mindset, combined with a collaborative leadership style and a passion for empowering people and teams
- Fluent in German and English
