SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Instrumentation Supervisor, the Instrumentation team leader is responsible for leading a team of assemblers in the assembly of components and systems in accordance with blueprints, engineering drawings, and production schedules. This role ensures quality, efficiency, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures while fostering a positive and productive team environment.

EDUCATION

  • Preferred- High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in light general manufacturing assembly
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
  • Experience with using a variety of tools for the assembly of mechanical and electrical components
  • Familiar with 5S and general safety requirements
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing work instructions with minimal assistance
  • Proven track record of meeting production goals without sacrificing quality

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience with using a computer and or ability to learn basic usage of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook
  • Experience wiring electrical panels, instrumentation, and devices / point-to-point testing.
  • Ability to work from detailed schematics, wire lists, bill of materials, engineering drawings, and
    documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of assemblers, providing guidance, direction, and training as needed.
  • Demonstrate required assembly and equipment knowledge, including, but not limited to electric hand tools, manual hand tools, etc.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Ensure all assemblies meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Follow the Non-Conforming Material (NCM) process, ensuring NCM material is properly red-tagged and placed in the appropriate location
  • Coordinate daily work schedules and ensure production targets are met.
  • Read and understand all policies, procedures, work instructions and test instructions associated with assigned station(s)
  • Conduct daily safety and toolbox talks, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to the 6S program, (5S + Safety) throughout the shop floor.
  • Help to monitor team performance and provide coaching when necessary
  • Perform all the listed tasks while supporting, training and assisting other activities and team members in the capacity of Working Lead
  • Other duties or special projects, as required
