Team description The mission of Integrated Risk is focused on providing risk identification, aggregation and insight capabilities at Group level across the various Risk domains. The team department is using those capabilities across the various risk functions, to assume a general oversight of risk governance, policies and frameworks, and to steer group-wide model and implementation activities across locations. Specific Function The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department is responsible for setting the standard for INGs enterprise risk management framework and the internal control system development, maintenance and oversight. In addition, the ERM department is responsible for the governance, standards and tools and oversight for regulatory changes on Risk Policies and will be acting as functional owner for the iRisk architecture development, in cooperation with COO Risk and CTO. Job description Leads several experts responsible for internal control system development, maintenance and oversight (reference to iRisk Policy House and horizon scanning tool for 2LoD). Works closely in cooperation with Risk Frameworks Team to ensure functionality of the internal control system is developed in line with ERM standards and processes as defined. Team guides and supports 1st and 2nd LoD functions (global and local) in proper usage of the risk architecture tools. Specific Tasks and Responsibilities Establishing a dedicated team and governance around internal control system under the umbrella of IR/ERM to ensure alignment between risk management, internal controls, and enterprise-wide compliance initiatives. Focuses on process ownership, tooling, and architecture while strengthening ING ability to maintain consistency and accountability across all iRisk-related processes. Supporting first and second line of defence to reduces redundancy, enhances transparency, and ensures identification and mitigation of risks is timely recorded in the system, with a proper link to the risk type. Supporting risk functional owners in case of risk taxonomy changes in the system Responsible for further automatization in between external regulations and internal control documentation, acting as AI Policy Advisor in line with ING strategic decisions As an owner of the Policy House, ensuring E2E Life cycle of the Policies on Group and Legal Entities level, including IT solution development and maintenance. Responsible for PH monitoring, challenging alignment and consistency of documents while improving the accessibility of documents and link between them. Oversee, provide advice on the further policy lifecycle management process to risk domain owners, policy editors, locations. Owns Policy House reporting and dashboards, including key metrics like effectiveness, waivers, deviations, policy implementation lifecycle and monitoring of backlogs, in order to support risk functional owners in their global oversight role. Play a pivotal role in fostering a proactive risk culture. Provide trainings across the Group and acting as main contact to the SPOCs in locations for the Regulatory Compliance Management/Policy House tool. Specific Knowledge and Experience Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field (Mathematical or Industrial Engineering). IT profile with more than 15 years of banking experience in audit, risk management and compliance, familiar with ING internal control system, processes and ING organisational and operational governance model. Clear understanding of functionality behind ING Policy House and horizon scanning process to support further automatization in between external regulations and ING internal control documents. Experience in managing smaller group of people, strong interest in automatizing risk management and control framework processes, while focusing on execution and leading changes initiatives and IT transformation programs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing relationships with diverse stakeholders Able to work independently yet being a collaborative team player, willing to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-evolving regulatory environment.
