What You'll Do: We are seeking for a Team Lead who will manage and develop a team based in Tokyo that oversees Finance Operations across Japan, South Korea, and Greater China. As a Team Lead for Finance services, you will: Lead & empower a regional team to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant outcomes. Oversee the full Order-to-Cash and Payables cycle, including: Customer Account Administration / Sales Administration (onboarding, contract and order accuracy, master data integrity) Accounts Receivable & Billing (invoice accuracy, month-end close support, credit/debit notes) Cash Collection (dunning strategies, dispute resolution, risk management) Cash Application (payment allocation, unapplied cash reduction, short-pay analysis) Accounts Payables (vendor onboarding, payment runs, vendor query management) Be a trusted partner to Sales and Commercial teams, ensuring smooth resolution of client billing and payment issues. Safeguard accuracy and compliance, including local tax rules and internal control standards. Improve processes continuously through automation, standardization, and lean approaches, boosting efficiency and customer experience. Drive KPIs such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), billing accuracy, dispute cycle time, unapplied cash, and vendor payment timeliness. Coach and grow your team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Who You Are: You are a people leader with proven experience in Finance Operations, ready to take ownership of a high-impact regional scope. Leadership: You have successfully managed teams in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, Cash Application, Payables, or Sales Administration. Customer-facing confidence: You are comfortable engaging directly with clients in Japan and navigating Japanese business practices. Accounting literacy: You understand AR/AP fundamentals, invoice-to-cash cycles, and month-end processes (formal certification is not required). Stakeholder management: You know how to partner effectively with Sales, Legal, Tax, and IT to deliver results and resolve issues. Languages: Japanese and English – business level or above (required) Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) or Korean – a strong plus Tools: You have hands-on experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) and with Excel. Experience with SAP BRIM is a plus. Mindset: You combine attention to detail with a pragmatic approach, balancing client satisfaction with financial accuracy and compliance.
