Description
We are on the lookout for a Team Lead, Fulfillment who shares our passion for being Customer Obsessed. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in being responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating activities, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or warehouse management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Location: 4750 43 St SE, Calgary, AB T2B 3N3 Hourly Rate: $24 per hour Hours of work: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities: Receiving and storing inventory delivered to the warehouse; Staging and sorting of items, palletizing, and crating; Provide regular reports on warehouse performance and key metrics (SLAs) to the operations leadership, Move, pick, pack, and scan items in a safe manner; Use of tools including but not limited to scanners, carts, hand trucks and dollies; Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate fashion; Follow all 5S processes consistently and effectively; Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture; Train new employees on company standards and procedures; Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse associates; Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity; Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback; Ensure accurate inventory management, including stock counts and reconciliations; Implement and maintain warehouse processes and procedures to maximize efficiency; Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment; Address and resolve any issues related to damaged or missing goods; Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, account management, and customer service, to coordinate activities and resolve issues; Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred; Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position; Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; Proficient in warehouse management software and the Google Suite; Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs); Prolonged periods of standing and walking; Have a valid reach truck license (preferred) Why Join Us?
