EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree/ Diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field;
  • 3 + years of previous experience in an administrative and team lead related capacity;
  • Experience in the financial/banking industry would be an asset with exposure to and understanding of global payment formatting requirements (major, minor, and exotic markets)
  • Experience with SWIFT banking system, payment processing and payment investigations;
  • Fully proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook);
  • IT literate with the ability to quickly learn new systems;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

ROLE FUNCTION AND PURPOSE

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Sydney based Outbound Processing team, whose ultimate aim is to ensure the timely and effective delivery of domestic and international payments for the Global Corpay Cross Border business. The scope of this role will look to support the APAC Operations Manager in building, overseeing and delivering an efficient and effective team, which consistently demonstrate a best-in-class Payment Processing service.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the APAC Manager and Global Operations in building an efficient, scalable payments and deals processing operation.
  • Ensure payments reach our global clients and beneficiaries in a timely manner with the highest degree of data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Validating payment data, ensuring that all relevant information has been obtained and local routing requirements and regulations are met.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on international and domestic payments, and payment related schemes and systems.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders; Work closely with internal units to improve service delivery and workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in the settlement process of spot and forward orders adhering to specific client details in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Handle 2nd level escalations in a professional manner.
  • Help drive the team’s performance to deliver within payment cutoffs and expected Service Level Agreements.
  • Deliver results through effective team management, structure, and routine.
  • Train and support Operations Associates on a continuous basis and driving a culture of continuous performance- know and develop the team through coaching and feedback.
  • Accountability in managing a team of employees providing effective performance management practices.
  • Support management in audit requests, refining procedures, and defining service level agreements.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with our existing banking partners.
  • Champion data driven decision-making and remove obstacles to optimize the operations
  • Leads and encourages the identification, escalation and resolution of potential risks.
  • Inspect and challenge risk controls, governance and culture to ensure the timely identification, escalation, debate and remediation of risk across processes supported.
  • Comply with all applicable policies, standards, guidelines and controls; and
  • Ad Hoc projects as requested
