Team Lead Order Entry

Location: Heidelberg area, GermanySalary: €55,000-€65,000Languages: Fluent German and working proficiency in English

Are you an experienced Order Management or Customer Service professional ready to lead a team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations?

Our client is an established international organisation supporting scientific research and laboratory-based markets. They are looking for a hands-on Team Lead Order Entry to manage a small team and take ownership of the complete Order-to-Cash process.

This is not purely a management position. You will lead from the front, supporting your team, processing customer orders, resolving complex issues and ensuring customers receive an accurate, responsive and reliable service.

• What you'll be responsible forLeading, developing and managing the Order Entry team
• Planning workloads, resources and holiday coverage
• Remaining actively involved in customer order entry and processing
• Managing the complete Order-to-Cash process
• Monitoring order backlogs, delivery commitments and product allocation
• Resolving urgent or complex order, shipping, inventory and payment issues
• Working closely with Sales, Production, Logistics, Finance and Technical Service
• Tracking KPIs covering accuracy, processing times, backlogs and delivery performance
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service quality
• Supporting system implementations, audits and improvement projects

• What we're looking forAt least five years' experience in Order Management, Customer Service, Order Processing or a similar function
• Previous experience leading and developing a small team
• A commercial qualification or degree in business, supply chain, logistics or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems-Microsoft Navision or Oracle NetSuite would be advantageous
• Experience improving processes and monitoring operational KPIs
• A highly organised, customer-focused and solutions-driven approach
• Confidence working across multiple departments and managing competing priorities
• Fluent German and working proficiency in English
• Strong Excel, Microsoft Office and Teams skills
• Experience using Salesforce would also be beneficial.

You must live within a realistic commuting distance of Heidelberg.
