Job Description Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Investment Management Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of investment strategies for institutional clients, ensuring alignment with client objectives and risk profiles. Conduct regular portfolio reviews, performance analysis, and rebalancing as required to optimise returns and manage risk. Collaborate with research, product, and risk teams to incorporate market insights and best practices into portfolio construction. Ensure rigorous adherence to investment mandates, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, building and maintaining long-term, trusted relationships. Lead the development and delivery of customised investment proposals, presentations, and reporting materials for clients. Proactively address client queries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Organise and lead regular client meetings, portfolio reviews, and educational sessions to enhance engagement and satisfaction. Business Development & Growth Identify, pursue, and secure new institutional mandates and opportunities for asset growth. Develop and execute strategies to deepen existing client relationships and cross-sell relevant products and services. Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and credibility in the institutional space. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and thought leadership content for institutional audiences. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of portfolio managers, analysts, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and coaching. Encourage ongoing professional development and knowledge sharing within the team. Promote diversity, inclusion, and ethical conduct in all team activities. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for client portfolios and team activities. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of performance reports, investment commentary, and regulatory disclosures. Analyse investment performance, attribution, and risk metrics to identify areas for improvement and innovation. Present portfolio and business performance updates to senior management and relevant committees. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with portfolio management, client mandates, and market developments. Work closely with compliance, legal, and risk teams to address regulatory changes and ensure best practice. Foster a culture of compliance, transparency, and responsible investing within the team. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master’s/CFA/CAIA preferred). Minimum of 8 years’ experience in institutional asset management, portfolio management, or related investment roles. Proven track record in managing institutional portfolios and delivering superior investment outcomes. Strong understanding of investment products, asset allocation, and risk management frameworks. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
