We are looking for an experienced individual to lead our IT Infrastructure Management team, someone who combines operational reliability with technological advancement and clear leadership.

YOUR MISSION:

• Professional and disciplinary leadership and further development of the IT Infrastructure Management team
• Overall responsibility for the stable, secure and economical operation of the group-wide IT infrastructure
• Management of the three areas of expertise:
  • Modern Workplace: Endpoints, Microsoft 365, Endpoint Security, Software Distribution and IT Onboarding
  • Datacenter & Cloud: Servers, Virtualization, Storage, Backup & Recovery, Databases and Monitoring
  • Network & Communication: LAN, WLAN, WAN, Firewalls, VPN and communication services
• Development and implementation of a group-wide infrastructure roadmap including standardization
• Responsibility for infrastructure projects from conception and feasibility study to implementation
• Further development of modern Microsoft, cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Ensuring efficient operational, maintenance, incident and escalation processes
• Management of external partners including budget, contracts and service quality
• Close collaboration with IT security, enterprise architecture, and specialist departments
• Participation in business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management

The team's focus aligns with BGO's existing strategic vision: It is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of networks, servers, end-user computing, and cloud solutions. Current priorities include consolidating the data center and network infrastructure, a multi-year migration roadmap, and a group-wide operating model.

You will need to bring the following:

• Completed technical education with a focus on IT, such as HTL, FH, university or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure management, ideally in a corporate group or a distributed site organization
• Experience in the professional and disciplinary leadership of technical teams
• Solid knowledge in several of the following areas:
  • Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Autopilot
  • Windows Server und Active Directory
  • Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Virtualization, Storage, Backup and Recovery
  • LAN, WLAN, WAN, firewalls and VPN
  • Monitoring, ITSM and Service Management
• Experience in managing complex infrastructure, consolidation, or migration projects
• Excellent understanding of IT security, availability, lifecycle management, and business continuity.
• Ability to evaluate technical options in a structured manner and to derive economically sound decisions from them.
• Strong leadership, communication and implementation skills
• Very good German and good English skills
• Willingness to travel between our Austrian locations

The minimum salary according to the collective agreement for the woodworking industry depends on pay group IV and your experience.
