POSITION OVERVIEW

The Team Lead at Jack’s Car Spa serves as a working leader who supports daily operations and acts as a go-to resource for Service Associates. This role bridges the gap between the frontline team and the Supervisor/General Manager, taking on leadership responsibilities while still actively engaging in customer service, facility upkeep, and express detailing. The Team Lead provides guidance and support to the team on shift, ensures high standards are upheld, and steps in to assist with training and issue resolution as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and operational support.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Support daily shift operations by assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Serve as a resource to Service Associates for questions or issues during shift.
  • Escalate safety or performance concerns to the Supervisor or General Manager.

Greet customers and assist across service areas (tunnel, front desk, dog wash, self-serve, etc.).

  • Handle routine customer concerns with professionalism and escalate more complex issues as needed.
  • Support upselling of retail products or service bundles.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is a requirement.

  • Operate tunnel safely and monitor equipment for issues.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and report maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with express detailing, lot upkeep, and cleaning responsibilities.

Monitor stock levels for cleaning supplies, towels, and retail products.

  • Restock and communicate needs to Supervisor or General Manager.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in customer service, retail, automotive, or related industries.
  • Previous experience with car washing, detailing, or working in a car care environment is a strong asset.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent
