Your mission is to lead our Java development team within the Software Engineering department, both technically and disciplinarily, and to further develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions as part of OKAPI:Orbits' end-to-end solutions. You will support a team of currently five Java developers in designing, implementing, and sustainably operating modern services and event-driven systems.
In this role, you combine genuine technical contribution with strong people leadership. You will write and review code together with your team, clarify priorities, actively invest in the professional development of your team members, and ensure that technical decisions align with company goals and customer needs. In doing so, you will directly contribute to enabling satellite operators and space agencies to efficiently plan, monitor, and control their missions in an increasingly dynamic orbital environment.
Studies show that women are less likely to apply for a job if they do not meet 100 percent of the requirements. We would like to expressly encourage you to apply even if you possess leadership potential, enthusiasm for software development, and a genuine interest in space technology. OKAPI:Orbits already unites a very diverse team and is actively committed to further expanding this diversity, as diverse teams demonstrably achieve better results and foster innovation.
