Reports to: This role reports to the Director of Engineering - Operations. Location: New Zealand or Australia What You’ll Do: Be awesome Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to drive innovation and development of product features Own the full development lifecycle that includes AI-powered/platform features, from POC to production and ongoing maintenance Contribute to the architecture design, balancing scalability with cost considerations Mentor and guide junior engineers Stay up to date with the latest developments in software engineering and AI Lead and Coordinate: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timely delivery of features. Foster Collaboration: Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, resolving blockers and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and inspire team members toward shared objectives. Skills to Pay the Bills: we’d like to hear from you if you have experience in most of the following areas: Fullstack Software Engineering Expertise: 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development. Strong proficiency in C# .NET Framework / .NET Core, and REST API design and development. Solid understanding of Azure PaaS and Azure Web App services. Experience with Git and Azure DevOps Comfortable working in an Agile environment AI Technologies: Experience integrating and deploying AI models and AI services in Cloud infrastructure. Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments to validate hypotheses and optimize product features Experience leading small-medium teams, having navigated complex problems both from a technical perspective, but product and people development as well.
