INTRODUCTION:

ConsMin produces some of the world’s highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation - only a five minute drive from Woodie airport.

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Supervisor Load and Haul, the successful applicant will be required to:
Ensure compliance to daily plans and activities for the Load & Haul team
Communicate effectively with other department personnel to meet production goals
Manage the performance of direct reports through the setting of key performance indicators (KPIs), training and development opportunities, succession plans and appropriate performance management
Coordinate and/or operator Load & Haul fleet which consists of predominantly Cat equipment i.e. Cat 6020B Excavators and EX3600, Cat 992K Loader, Cat 16M and 18M Graders, Cat D10t, D11 & 854K Dozers, 777/G and & 789 Dump Trucks & 777F Water Carts.
Set contingency plans daily for potential roadblocks to the daily and weekly plan.

Responsibilities

Extensive experience as an All-round Operator in an open pit production mining environment preferably operating the above-mentioned equipment
Leadership experience in the mining production environment
Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
Competent level of computer literacy, particularly MS office suite
Minimum HR Drivers’ license.
Applicants must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, provide a clean National Police Clearance (dated within the last 6 months or able to obtain) and provide valid references.
