JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a skilled Team Leader to oversee the daily activities for the Load & Haul team. Reporting to the Supervisor Load and Haul, your key responsibilities would be:

• Drive team performance by setting clear KPIs, providing training and development opportunities and implementing succession plans.
• Manage team performance by providing regular feedback and applying appropriate performance management.
• Oversee and/or operate a world-class Load & Haul fleet, including Cat 6020B & EX3600 Excavators, Cat 992K Loaders, 16M & 18M Graders, D10T, D11 & 854K Dozers, 777/G & 789 Dump Trucks, and 777F Water Carts.
• Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks with daily contingency planning to keep operations on track.
• Maintain effective communication with other department personnel in order to meet production targets.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Requirements to be successful in this role are:

• Extensive hands-on experience as an All-Round Operator in open-pit mining, with confidence operating the full range of equipment listed above.
• A solid background in leading teams within a mining production environment, with a focus on performance and safety.
• A strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
• Competent with computers and familiar with the Microsoft Office suite—comfortable using digital tools to support daily operations.
• A minimum of a Driver’s License is required.
