Company Description The Team Lead, Management Systems Consulting is responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end management systems consulting engagements for Procept Africa’s clients, with a primary focus on financial services institutions and telecommunications operators in Nigeria. The role provides technical and delivery leadership across the design, implementation, certification, re-certification, and continual improvement of ISO-based management systems. These include Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Service Management Systems (ISO 20000-1), Business Continuity Management Systems (ISO 22301), Information Security Management Systems (ISO 27001), and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001), as well as related international standards and frameworks. The role ensures that all engagements are delivered to a high standard of technical excellence, regulatory alignment, operational resilience, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of three years’ demonstrable experience in the design, implementation, and certification of management systems, supported by relevant ISO management system certifications. Job Description Key Responsibilities Engagement Leadership and Delivery Lead and support client engagements involving the design and implementation of management systems, including QMS, SMS, BCMS, ISMS, and OHSMS, while building strong client relationships founded on trust and credibility. Lead end-to-end consulting assignments for the design, implementation, and certification of management systems, including: ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems ISO 20000-1 – IT Service Management Systems ISO 22301 – Business Continuity Management Systems ISO 27001 – Information Security Management Systems ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems Other relevant ISO and international standards as required Plan and manage consulting engagements across all phases: Gap assessment and diagnostics Management system design and documentation Implementation and operationalization Internal audit and management review Certification readiness and support Ensure all deliverables meet internal and international quality standards, client expectations, and applicable ISO and other recognized industry certification requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during delivery engagements. Client and Stakeholder Management Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including: Executive management Risk, compliance, IT, operations, and HSE leadership Regulators and certification bodies (where applicable) Translate complex ISO requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions for clients. Manage client expectations, timelines, risks, and delivery quality. Technical Quality and Standards Governance Ensure all consulting outputs comply with: Relevant ISO standards Industry best practices Regulatory expectations in banking and telecommunications sectors Review and approve: Management system documentation Policies, procedures, frameworks, and registers Audit reports and certification readiness assessments Support continual improvement and maturity advancement beyond certification. Team Leadership and Capability Development Lead and mentor consultants and analysts assigned to management systems engagements. Allocate work, review deliverables, and provide coaching to ensure quality and consistency. Contribute to the development of reusable templates, tools, and methodologies for Procept Africa’s management systems practice. Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, project reports, and dashboards to track progress and identify risks. Business Development and Practice Growth Support proposal development, scoping, and client presentations for management systems engagements. Provide technical input into bids, expressions of interest, and capability statements. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and follow-on consulting services. Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing within the firm. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Provide regular updates to Senior Management on project performance, audit findings, certification progress, and opportunities for improvement. Identify areas for internal process improvements and support initiatives to enhance consulting efficiency and effectiveness. Promote knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and capability building across projects and teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, management sciences, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading management systems (ISO certification) consulting assignments. Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, implementing, and continually improving ISO-based management systems, including supporting organisations through certification and re-certification audits. Strong working knowledge of ISO management system standards, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001, with the ability to interpret requirements and apply them within complex organisational environments. Proven experience engaging with certification bodies and supporting internal and external audit processes. Demonstrable experience delivering management systems consulting engagements for Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks and leading telecommunications operators in Nigeria. Sound understanding of the regulatory, risk, and operational environments within the financial services and telecommunications sectors. Proven ability to independently lead management systems consulting engagements and manage multiple assignments concurrently. Strong documentation, analytical, and professional report-writing skills, with a structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven approach to work. Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills, both written and verbal. ISO Lead Auditor and or Lead Implementer certification in one or more of ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001. Additional certifications such as ITIL, risk management, compliance, or business continuity certifications are an added advantage.
