Description

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6 system administrators, driving skill development and performance excellence. * Allocate work, review deliverables, and provide technical guidance and escalation support. * Foster a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and operational discipline. Infrastructure & Systems Management * Design, implement, and manage Nutanix HCI clusters ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience. * Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments (physical and virtual). * Manage core infrastructure services including: * Active Directory * DNS & DHCP * Group Policy * Ensure high availability, system hardening, patching, and lifecycle management. Microsoft Cloud & Endpoint Management * Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity lifecycle, access management, and security controls. * Manage Microsoft Intune for device management, compliance, policies, and endpoint security. * Support hybrid identity and integration between on‑prem AD and Entra ID. Azure Cloud Administration * Administer and support Microsoft Azure resources including compute, networking, and storage components. * Manage Azure services such as: * Azure Blob Storage * Azure File Storage * Virtual Machines and subscriptions * Support cost optimization, monitoring, and governance best practices. Storage, Backup & Data Protection * Manage enterprise storage solutions, filesystems, and capacity planning. * Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for on‑prem and cloud workloads. * Ensure data integrity, retention policies, and recovery testing. Automation & Infrastructure as Code * Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using: * Terraform * Ansible * Other scripting and configuration management tools * Reduce manual operational tasks through automation and standardized deployments. * Maintain version‑controlled infrastructure code and documentation. ITSM, Operations & Governance * Work with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, or similar). * Lead and participate in: * Incident Management * Change Management * Problem Management * Ensure adherence to SLAs, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous service improvement. * Participate in on‑call rotations and manage critical incident response. Documentation & Compliance * Develop and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, asset inventories, and operational documentation. * Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and audit requirements. * Support capacity planning and future infrastructure scaling initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 7+ years of experience in systems/infrastructure administration. * 1–3 years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role. * Strong hands-on experience with: * Nutanix clusters * Windows & Linux servers * Active Directory, DNS, DHCP * Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune administration. * Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including storage services. * Strong expertise in automation and IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.). * Knowledge of storage, backup, disaster recovery, and filesystems. * Experience working with ITSM frameworks and ticketing tools. * Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a 24×7 environment. * Proactive mindset with strong ownership and continuous improvement focus. Preferred Certifications (Good to Have) * Microsoft: Azure Administrator * Nutanix NCP * RHCE or equivalent Linux certification * ITIL Foundation or higher * Terraform / Ansible certifications
