POSITION SUMMARY

Working at The Pottery Stop is like working in a “creativity restaurant"—if you are able to perform well in a fast-paced environment or have restaurant serving experience, we’d love to meet you! Please note this is a year-round position with weekend and holiday season availability needed. We do not hire seasonally.
Team Leads grow across multiple levels. This role description covers shared expectations across all levels.
Reports To: Assistant Studio Manager / Studio Manager
Supervises: Team Members during assigned shifts

GUEST EXPERIENCE (40%)

  • Greet, guide, and assist guests warmly from entry to checkout.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve guest issues on the spot when possible.
  • Lead parties, workshops, and special events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18+ years old, High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of previous customer-service, retail, or food-service experience.
  • Proficient verbal & written English; solid math & computer skills
  • Legally able to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Able to meet the physical requirements below with or without reasonable accommodation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand, walk, or move for 6–8.5 hours
  • Position self to reach below waist & above head; lift/transport up to 50 lbs (clay, glaze)
  • Use hands/arms to reach, grasp, and handle tools
  • Climb ladders/step-stools; bend, reach, and stoop as needed
  • Communicate verbally; ability to hear; close, distance & peripheral vision
  • Work in studio (moderate noise) and kiln room (elevated temps, mechanical equipment)
  • Occasional outdoor assistance for guests
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
