We are looking for a Team Lead Payments (m/f/d) for our Finance department. In this role, you will assume professional and disciplinary responsibility for all central payment processing processes of the ROLAND companies. You will lead an experienced team, ensure quality in day-to-day operations, and actively develop payment processing processes, interfaces, and controls.
- Management of operational payment processes for contributions, claims, commissions, broker statements, investments, and the subsidiaries Assistance, Protection Letter and Jurpartner.
- Responsibility for payment and booking processes in the interaction of SAP FI, SAP SD, SAP FS-CD and the connected inventory, claims and assistance systems.
- Ensuring correct incoming and outgoing payments, direct debits, claims and contribution payments, and their accounting processing.
- Management of dunning, debt collection and return processes, including interfaces to external debt collection service providers.
- Coordination of brokerage collection, brokerage disbursement, commission accounting and brokerage receivables management
- Ensuring the provision of payment-related data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Responsibility for controls, reconciliations, documentation and audit-proof evidence in payment transactions
- Collaboration with sales, claims, assistance, tax, accounting & reporting, IT, banks, debt collection agencies and other external partners.
- Identification and realization of automation potential, quality improvements, and further developments in interface quality and SAP-based process landscape.
- Technical involvement in SAP, digitalization and process projects - as the central technical voice for payment transactions
- Management of the system-responsible Product Owner SAP

In addition, you bring the following:
- Completed commercial training, business administration studies or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in payment processing, receivables management, debt collection, finance, accounting or in a comparable payment operations function
- Experience with complex mass payment processes, ideally in insurance, banking, financial services, shared service centers or a regulated environment.
- A solid understanding of the connection between payment transactions, subledger, general ledger, reconciliation and closing delivery
- SAP experience, ideally in SAP FI and/or SAP FS-CD; experience with S/4HANA transformations is a plus.
- Initial leadership or coordination experience, for example as team leader, deputy team leader, technical manager or senior specialist.
- High level of quality, control and responsibility awareness
- Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be acting as a liaison between the operational team, specialist departments, IT, auditors, and external partners.
- Structured, solution-oriented and reliable working method
- Excellent German skills, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of insurance processes is an advantage.
