EMCD is a top global crypto infrastructure platform. Performa is our B2B solution bridging crypto and fiat for international payments, payroll and OTC operations. We are seeking a Team Lead to scale our engineering organization, stabilize delivery processes, and drive the next phase of platform growth. About the Role: This is hands-on engineering leadership role in a fast-paced crypto-fintech environment. You will drive team management, product delivery and operational stability while collaborating with product and infrastructure stakeholders. Time Split: 60–70%: People leadership and delivery management. 30–40%: Architecture reviews and technical support. Responsibilities: Manage and develop a team of engineers working across multiple product streams Establish predictable delivery processes and maintain a healthy engineering rhythm Conduct regular 1:1s, support career growth, and improve team performance Lead hiring processes including interviews, technical coordination, feedback collection, and hiring decisions Partner with Product Managers to align roadmap priorities and balance engineering investments with product delivery Coordinate cross-functional work with IAM, Infrastructure, Accounting and Release Management teams Drive operational excellence including incident management, postmortems, and on-call quality improvements Maintain visibility into delivery risks, technical bottlenecks, and organizational challenges Participate in architecture and system design discussions Review critical pull requests related to compliance-sensitive systems, money movement, and infrastructure reliability Provide technical guidance and unblock the team during high-pressure situations or production incidents Maintain sufficient technical depth to effectively support and challenge engineering decisions Requirements: Experience leading engineering teams in fintech, crypto, payments, or high-scale backend environments Strong understanding of software delivery processes and engineering management practices Experience managing engineers through growth, organizational change, or team restructuring Ability to balance delivery execution, people management, and technical leadership Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering initiatives involving multiple teams Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Hands-on engineering background with the ability to participate in architectural and technical discussions Experience with incident management, operational processes, and production support environments Comfort working in fast-changing, high-uncertainty startup environments Nice to Have Experience building financial infrastructure, payment systems or crypto products Understanding of compliance-sensitive systems including KYC/KYB/AML workflows Experience scaling engineering teams during periods of rapid growth Background in distributed systems, backend infrastructure, or platform engineering Experience working in remote-first international team What We Offer Remote-first environment Opportunity to help build and scale an international crypto-fintech platform High ownership and strategic impact during a critical growth stage Fast-moving international engineering environment backed by EMCD infrastructure Direct collaboration with senior leadership and product stakeholders Compensation in USDT
