TEAM LEAD

CSS Recycling are one of the UK’s leading processors of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the UK. Consistent investment in modern Technology and the expertise of the CSS team has enabled us to provide sustainable solution for the recycling of WEEE.
With over 35 years of experience in the industry CSS now hold a range of major contracts with local Authorities, Utility Companies, Waste management Companies and leading UK Manufactures.
As a result of our continuous business growth, we are looking to expand our team and recruit an additional experienced Team Lead.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 07:00 to 17:00 (47.5 hours per week) although some flexibility required due to nature of work. Day work only. Some overtime available prior to agreement.

ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • A good standard of English, both orally and written, is required.
  • You must have high level organisational skills
  • Effective communication is essential
  • You will be the holder of a Forklift licence
  • You must be a physically fit
  • You will be a responsible individual with good experience supervising a Yard
  • You must have the ability to ensure a safe and clean working environment
Responsibilities
  • To ensure that the lines run in a manner that is both safe and efficient.
  • To manage the staff under your supervision, seeing to it that all work is carried out to CSS’s high standards.
  • To monitor staffing levels and inform the Yard Manager should you have any issues.
  • To inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance checks.
  • To report any breakdowns or issues with the plant to the Maintenance Engineer & Yard Manager immediately, so that the issue can be dealt with safely and correctly.
  • To ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately in a timely manner, including updating the records of inventory and activity logs
  • Unload/load materials from incoming/outgoing vehicles.
  • To ensure the absolute safety of yourself and all other members of CSS staff during all aspects of your work.
  • To put forward ideas and suggestions to improve the running of lines and the warehouse.
  • To keep the building and all CSS stock safe and secure.
  • Undertake manual yard duties as requested, when required.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines and help maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
