YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • 5+ years in software engineering (ideally C++, Linux and Python)
  • 2+ years of experience leading software teams or technical projects
  • 1+ years working with regulated development (e.g. ISO 62304, MDR/FDA)
  • Hands-on experience with CUDA and real-time image processing
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on support with strategic leadership

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with medical device software or embedded systems
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, or software deployment on Linux (e.g. Jetson, Docker)
  • Experience working with external development partners or remote teams
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE:

We’re looking for a Team Lead Software Development to lead and grow our development team. In this role, you will drive both the technical and organizational aspects of our software projects, with a focus on medical devices involving image processing and real-time systems. You’ll help implement advanced features like laser guidance and feature tracking, and coordinate collaboration across internal and external development partners. Your expertise will strengthen the team’s ability to deliver robust, high-performance applications. Particularly using GPU acceleration (CUDA).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the software development team and coach individual developers
  • Plan and prioritize development efforts across internal and external contributors
  • Support architectural decisions and code reviews
  • Contribute to coding tasks, particularly in C++ 20/CUDA and image processing
  • Coordinate cross-functional work with QA, regulatory, and systems engineering as well as external contributors
  • Align software development with medical device standards and product requirements
  • Support sprint planning, technical documentation, and delivery milestones
