Responsibilities
  • Assist in the oversight of services and programming in a manner that is consistent with Do Good’s mission, values, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist the Program Manager in formally training and supervising all program staff, including monthly individual supervisions and annual performance reviews. Assist the Program Manager and other Do Good Leadership in developing and implementing on-the-job training and guidance for new and/or struggling staff.
  • Provide leadership, support, and positive role modeling for program staff. Model proper adherence to policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Give direction and delegate mission-centered tasks to staff. Empower staff to take initiative and problem solve.
  • Manage the monthly schedules and bi-monthly timecards of all direct reports.
  • Assume team management responsibilities when the Program Manager is unavailable.
  • Facilitate staff and team meetings in the absence of the manager. Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings within the scope of practice, including internal leadership and management meetings.
  • Contribute to the selection of new staff during applicant selection and interviewing processes.
  • Model and encourage direct, kind, and clear communication and collaboration among staff members across the organization, with participants and community partners to ensure a positive support network.
  • Follow protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for participants and staff as mandated by funders and other internal/external oversights.
  • Participate in compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy and security regulations applicable to the program, and to Do Good Multnomah’s policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security.
