Description
Provide leadership and coaching for technical writers and acts as the single point of accountability for documentation quality across initiatives. Ensure documentation quality, consistency, compliance, and alignment with business objectives, delivery methodologies, and regulatory standards. Act as the documentation authority bridging Business, IT Delivery, Architecture, QA, Risk, and Compliance to ensure that all deliverables are well-articulated, auditable, reusable, and fit for purpose. Key Responsibilities Define, own, and continuously enhance the technical documentation framework across IT programs, aligned with SDLC, Agile, and hybrid delivery models. Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, style guides, and version control practices across the Digital Transformation & Projects unit. Ensure all project documentation complies with internal governance, audit, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Program Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, QA, and Developers to translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, structured, and actionable documentation. Ensure documentation enables effective project delivery, operational readiness, and seamless handover to IT support teams. Support regulatory reviews, audits, and risk assessments by maintaining high-quality documentation, reducing repeat audit findings. Act as the single point of accountability for documentation quality across all IT initiatives. Coach and mentor technical writers and project team members on documentation standards, best practices, and Agile documentation approaches. Maintain a centralized knowledge repository to ensure consistency, reuse, and preservation of institutional knowledge. Identify and implement opportunities to improve documentation efficiency through structured authoring, automation, and modern tooling. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to lead team(s) and demonstrate use of own initiatives. Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum), and hybrid delivery methodologies In-depth knowledge of IT systems documentation, including applications, integrations, and infrastructure Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and structured documentation Working knowledge of IT governance, risk, compliance, and audit requirements Experience working with cross-functional and vendor-led delivery teams Supervisory skills: Leadership, Coaching and Performance management Analytical thinking and strong written communication Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment Qualification & Experience Mandatory Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field 10+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, or related IT delivery roles Relevant certifications in Technical Writing, Information Design, Business Analysis, IT Service Management, or other related disciplines Proven experience supporting large-scale IT projects or digital transformation initiatives Strong familiarity with enterprise systems, integration-heavy environments, and regulated industries Desirable Additional professional qualifications Master’s Degree in relevant field Experience supporting large-scale or highly regulated financial institution Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
