POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Team Lead at Harvest Beer Wine and Spirits, you will be responsible for leading the team in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing exceptional customer service. This role includes key responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, empowering team members, and maintaining a high standard of store presentation.

QUALIFICATIONS & ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Have prior retail or customer service experience - Wine, beer & spirit knowledge is an asset
  • Exceptional customer service chops – you know how to make people feel at home
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg (50lbs) – those craft beer cases won’t stock themselves
  • Strong work ethic and dedication – you love what you do, and you’re committed to being the best!

EXPERIENCE

Proven experience as a Team Lead or similar role in retail (bonus points for liquor or hospitality experience).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the team in the absence of the store managers.
  • Open and close the store, ensuring security and operational readiness.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist customers in finding the perfect products.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures.
  • Handle cash and perform end-of-day financial reconciliations.
  • Address and resolve any customer or staff issues promptly and effectively.
