Description

Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Lead Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the welding department as working lead, ensuring timely and efficient completion of work, and maintaining high-quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a welding leadership role
  • 5+ years TIG welding experience
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes and quality assurance
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and engineering specifications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    Offered compensation: $22/hr - $24/hr

EXPERIENCE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years TIG welding experience, preferably on Class ‘A’ aluminum parts
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, use measuring tools (measuring tape, calipers, etc.)
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities
  • This is a “working lead” position which includes welding and picking parts and assisting in other production tasks as needed.
  • Perform product and process quality inspections
  • Verify weld positions and values according to shop drawings and engineering specifications
  • Identify segregate and document non-conforming materials
  • Plan, assign, and review the work of the welding department to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks
  • Coordinate with Plant Manager to meet production schedules
  • Manage material flow into and out of the department
  • Work with maintenance to maintain all department equipment and facilities in good working conditions; coordinate repairs and replacements with Plant Manager
  • Assess and provide any department training needs
  • Follow up on rejections to identify causes and ensure effective corrective action; communicate findings to welding personnel
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
