Because “People are Our Greatest Asset” UWM understands the importance of the health and well-being of our Team Members! As the Team Lead of Team Member Wellness, you will spearhead our campus wellness program that focuses on making sure our Team Members are happy and healthy.
In addition to leading a team of Campus Wellness Coordinators, you will be responsible for the maintenance, creation, and execution of programs, initiatives, and activities aimed at improving morale, productivity, and ensuring UWM is the best place to work possible! This position will incubate wellness in all areas of our business across our sprawling corporate campus. This includes our Fitness Center, UWM Sportsplex, outdoor activity areas, and beyond; participating in events with the community and local businesses.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sports Administration or Exercise Science Degree
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience
• Experience in sports, fitness, or related field

The Wellness Team Leader will be working with the Wellness Team to provide leadership and direction. This will include jumping into the weeds when necessary and ensuring the company and Team Member Services vision is carried out daily.

• Hiring, training, coaching, and leading a team encompassing corporate wellness with the ability to motivate and achieve goals
• Maintains expert knowledge of all wellness procedures
• Responsible for monthly Wellness Metrics and reporting
• Oversees coordination of all sports leagues, fitness classes, and wellness challenges
• Communication and organization with community partners to organize wellness events
• Working with internal teams to organize wellness initiatives, as well as delegating tasks and responsibilities to Wellness Team for execution of events
• Implementation and management of reservation sites including massages and salon
• Oversee and verify all company communication regarding upcoming wellness programs is accurate and aligned with UWM standards
• Responsible for organization of company health initiatives including Flu Shot events and Blood Drives
• Work closely with SALTA to strengthen relationship and create awareness surrounding on site doctor’s office
• Participate in leadership meetings by bringing creative ideas and examples to the table to plan, organize, and deliver monthly initiatives on the team
• Ability to answer all team member questions in a professional and positive manner
• Work closely with Benefits Team on additional projects such as Open Enrollment
• Responsible for maintaining gym, locker rooms, and other wellness areas to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Ability to alleviate high intensity situations through various sporting events, with a great sense of urgency
