JOB DESCRIPTION Production Team Leader GENERAL PURPOSE: The Team Leader reports to the Production Supervisor. Responsible for directing team members in SRK-OH production processes. Promote associate relations and satisfactorily resolve associate issues and concerns. Establish and maintain a stable production process through 5S, standardization, visual control, and Kaizen to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity through the use of the CA-PDCA cycle. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Directing activities of SRK-OH Production Associates * Directing 5S activity-responsible for their area and maintaining a high level of plant 5 * Train and develop team members as needed * Maintain and direct TPM duties for their area * Assist with efforts in scrap reduction * Perform SOP, Key Quality Check, Process Check Sheet, 5S and Cycle Time Audits on as needed basis * Responsible for process improvements in safety, quality, scrap, and productivity, costs * Implement SRK-OH philosophy to Associates * Maintain manufacturing and operation standards, key quality check sheets, necessary packaging standards, poke yokes * Maintain and adhere to planned production systems * Direct KAIZEN activities for team members * Additional duties may be assigned by management * Audit production lines daily * Assist production associates with Collect and Reveal activities * Assist production associates in reaching daily requirements for their process PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to use hands-to-finger dexterity. The Associate frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and communicate with others. The Associate is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally. Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, and reach occasionally. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. * Associates at all levels must maintain their Roles and Responsibilities as outlined with SRK-OH’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO9001 and ISO 14001. These industry standards are necessary to ensure continued Customer Satisfaction in relationship with our philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The minimum qualifications needed to perform the essential functions of the job such as education, competencies, experience, knowledge and skills. This should include any specialized knowledge and expertise applicable to the job. * Position requires an Associate Degree, Bachelor of Science Degree or the equivalent training or experience * Proficient in Microsoft Office
