Salary: £27,686.28 per annum

A fulfilling and exciting opportunity available for a residential Team Leader in our Alfreton and Buxton service.

Responsibilities
  • To supervise and coordinate the team to ensure the day-to-day delivery of high quality, reliable support service tailored to the specific needs of each young person entering our children’s services, Including Looked After Children and unaccompanied asylum seeking young people within a 24 hour supported accommodation setting.
  • Promoting independence and choice in accordance with the Statement of Purpose and Ofsted Supported Accommodation Standards.
  • The job holder will carry out any other duties that are deemed appropriate to the post.
  • The responsibilities of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or level of responsibility entailed.
  • The post may require working outside normal office hours from time to time.
  • The role will require the job holder to participate in the On-Call Rota supporting service out of hours.
  • We are all accountable for the Health & Safety of ourselves and others, put simply this includes you taking the time to complete all learning, understanding your role specific responsibilities, working with reasonable care and taking steps to report problems related to health and safety.
  • Some young people may have experienced significant trauma in their home country and on their journey to the UK.
  • The post holder must be empathetic, knowledgeable and professional in understanding the specific needs of asylum seeking adolescents transitioning into adulthood.
  • Speakers of other languages would be an advantage (especially Arabic) but not essential.
