Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate all work-in-progress (WIP) within the workshop to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs. * Review job cards to determine the scope of repairs and ensure a clear understanding of customer concerns and service requirements. * Allocate and distribute repair work among technicians based on skill level, job complexity, and workshop workload. * Monitor repair progress and ensure jobs are completed within the allocated time following manufacturer procedures and dealership quality standards. * Conduct final quality inspections and perform road tests when required to confirm repair effectiveness. * Identify additional repairs not specified in the job card and communicate them to the Service Advisor. * Provide technical guidance and support to technicians in diagnosing complex vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and methods. * Ensure proper maintenance and use of workshop tools and equipment. * Maintain workshop cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in compliance with company policies. * Support technician development and ensure adherence to Volkswagen technical training standards. * Escalate unresolved or critical technical issues to the Workshop Manager or Service Manager when necessary. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager / Workshop Manager. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Volkswagen Team Leader Certification is required. Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within an automotive dealership or workshop environment. Languages: Fluency in English is required. Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Computer literate with the ability to use workshop management systems and diagnostic tools.
