Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) Team Leader of Intake/Assessments and Specialist Pharmacotherapy services role is focussed on both clinically and operationally overseeing the initial stages of a client’s journey into treatment. It is a key role in coordinating client access and flow of admissions, discharges, transfers to residential AOD treatment services that support the optimization of bed utilization. This includes pharmacotherapy services in a broader addiction and mental health context in handling referrals, conducting assessments, providing interventions, to help clients manage opioid use disorder in specialist clinics and with community-based providers.
This role plays a vital role in ensuring smooth AOD service delivery and positive client outcomes to vulnerable and often disenfranchised clients, not only to the Western Metropolitan area of Melbourne, but also Victoria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
