EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Your background includes a College/University degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience, with at least 3 of those years in software-driven specification writing and architectural consulting sales calls.
  • Well-versed in the understanding of fire, life safety, accessibility and model building codes in relation to door and hardware specifications.
  • Above average knowledge of BIM processes and programs, including working knowledge of applicable BIM design software tools.
  • Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The wage range for this role is $95K - $115K and considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Our nationwide team of consultants work closely with architectural professionals advising on the design and specification of door openings. This is accomplished through Openings Studio, our award-winning BIM software used to specify 3D doors, hardware and access control. In this role, you can picture yourself as a vital consultant to the architect and design team. You will be given the freedom to navigate your path to achieve success in the market. Your goal will be to drive positive, sustaining relationships with key influencers and to create brand demand through educating, facilitating, and promoting ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions. You can expect to be part of a diverse and talented sales team with colleagues dedicated to mutual support and success.
In this key leadership position, the responsible individual must be able to assist the Regional Architectural Director in creating and executing a strategic program for architectural development to deliver desired organizational results. The position will report to the Regional Architectural Director.

KEY AREAS YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Assist the Director, Sales in creating and executing a strategic program for architectural development to deliver desired organizational results.
  • Cultivate consulting relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers.
  • Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications.
  • Provide timely and accurate product information for use in commercial project specifications.
  • Deliver targeted continuing educational programs highlighting new products, solutions, and design-assist professional services.
  • Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com as a customer relationship, project-tracking, and time management tool.
