The Construction, Engineering & Gas Flow Operations Division’s Engineering Department is looking for a Data Asset Team Leader (m/f/x).
This department’s Data Asset Management (DAM) team collects and processes all as-built information, both geographic and alphanumeric, from Fluxys’ multi-molecule transmission pipeline network. DAM is systematically involved in matters relating to data modifications or the provision of data included in our pipeline plans and network diagrams. Fluxys’ GIS application, which is managed by DAM, plays a key role in the performance of these tasks. Compliance with the principles of quality assurance and customer satisfaction is at the heart of our actions.
As Team Leader, you will guide, motivate, coach and provide information to a team of seven Asset Data Experts.

You will ensure the operational management of the team:

• You will oversee the analysis and modelling of data (including geographic data) regarding our Assets with a view to meeting the needs of the business and ensuring the fulfilment of our obligations
• You will coordinate functional analyses and the collection of needs to enhance GIS and Asset Data Management systems
• You will manage and validate test scenarios, coordinate acceptance tests and provide for the successful implementation of IT system updates
• You will ensure that GIS Data Operator colleagues and other users of GIS and Asset Data Management systems receive quality second-line support
• You will act as a liaison between the team and stakeholders (Digital, other Engineering teams, Grid, Gas Flow Operations, Community Relations) to align priorities and translate business needs into data or system solutions
• As an expert, you will contribute to the data strategy and digital roadmap by focusing on data quality and the ease of use of geographic information systems
• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally in geography, geo-ICT or surveying
• You are fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of the other national language
• You have already managed a team or supported colleagues in an informal leadership role
• You have at least five years’ relevant experience in managing data related to Assets or GIS systems
• You have strong relational database skills and are proficient in G/Technology. Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS, FME, MicroStation and Microsoft Power Query would be a plus
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• You are known for your keen eye for detail, analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture. You are customer-oriented, open-minded and a team player
