Job Description Position Overview: This position serves LEONI’s North American Development Department as Leader of an Automotive E/E Harness Design Team. The candidate should have appropriate leadership and decision-making skills, as well as the communication skills and technical background to represent LEONI in front of our customers. This position reports directly to our Head of Harness Design in Troy, Michigan. Job Profile Description Leads the direct reports in the area of responsibility. Represents LEONI in our customer’s vehicle project teams and ensures customer satisfaction. Plans regular team activities in order to meet all targets and cover all deliverables and requests Defines the team members' objectives, action plans and responsibilities. Provides clear instructions, monitors and evaluates results. Identifies the training and development needs of direct reports, follows the subordinates' professional development and provides assistance for using newly acquired knowledge. Identifies and analyzes risks, identifies mitigation solutions. Identifies potential for improvement in area of responsibility, offers active consulting and actively contributes to improvement of services. Reports and presents to Management as needed. Qualifications Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive preferred). 6 years Automotive E/E Design experience. 3 years supervisory/leadership experience. Knowledge of engineering and software tools. Proficient English speaking and writing skills. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. Problem solving skills. Willingness to travel.
