ARE YOU A MANUFACTURING OR PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER LOOKING FOR A NEW OPPORTUNITY?

Bensons for Beds is looking for a new Production Team Leader to join our Manufacturing team in Huntingdon.
Working on a Full-time basis, you will join a thriving manufacturing team, providing the highest of standards to the team and business, whilst also supporting the wider team with your expertise and support.

Ensuring day to day production is managed in a given area, your role will be to provide line management to the team, co-ordinating workloads and providing support to ensure that the team delivers. Monitor issues and ensure production targets and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer. You will also spend time developing the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a team culture. This role will be split between the following responsibilities and physical production which will fluctuate with the demands and needs of the business.

  • Exemplifies the company’s values and behaviours
  • Assist in the effective implementation of lean manufacturing techniques within the production area
  • Co-ordinate and allocate work to enable colleagues to work productively
  • Ensure production lines are tidy, organised and comply with health and safety standards
  • Ensure all production and colleague records are completed appropriately
  • Ensure team and personal adherence to SOPRA’s and Quality System requirements
  • Play an active part in the Team’s SQDCP projects
  • Feedback to Senior Team Leader on target vs actual production numbers
  • Chase missing components to ensure no delays in production
  • Ensure all colleagues are wearing the correct PPE
  • Perform and manage induction with new starters as and when required
