Description Duties & Responsibilities · Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a strong Christian witness in all interactions with youth, staff, donors, volunteers, and the general public so as to uphold Black Mountain Home’s mission of Glorifying God by caring for children, youth, and families. · Commit to pray regularly for the youth, staff, and ministry. · Provide leadership to the three houses assigned to the position. · Provide leadership and supervision to the house parents and case manager assigned to the position. · Give input and leadership to training of staff in issues related to case management. · With the Director of Intake and Youth Services, oversee the provision of social work services to assigned youth. · Provide after-hours on-call support. · Provide back-up for the provision of social work services to other houses. · Oversee youth admissions, in-care social services, and discharges. · Assist in maintaining required records for all assigned youth. · Ensure services provided and youth files are in compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements. · Supervise the implementation of CARE principles throughout services provided to youth in houses assigned to the position. · Represent the Home in professional community groups. · Provide consultation to human service and social work interns. · Network with youth case management and services needed/provided in the communities involved. · Attend staff meetings which include participation in a time of Christian devotion and prayer. Review minutes and sign off for missed meetings to stay aware of ministry updates. · Problem solve as needed. · Complete other projects as requested. Requirements Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
