We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader – Home Claims to join our Insurance division and lead a team dedicated to supporting members with their home claims journey.
What you’ll be doing

As a Team Leader – Home Claims, you’ll play a critical role in leading, coaching, and developing a team of Home Claims Specialists to deliver professional, compassionate, and efficient service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead your team to ensure claims are managed fairly, consistently, and in line with RAC Insurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive performance through coaching and mentoring, supporting the team to deliver quality outcomes for members.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in claims processes and member experience.
  • Support complex claim decisions, settlements, and negotiations with a focus on achieving cost-effective and fair outcomes.
  • Partner with suppliers, repairers, and other stakeholders to deliver timely and quality home repair solutions for members.
  • Role model RAC’s values and foster a culture of empathy, accountability, and continuous learning.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience leading or supervising a claims team, ideally within home or general insurance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of home claims and the home repair industry (highly desirable).
  • A member-first mindset, with excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate and develop a frontline team to deliver results.
  • A Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent (highly regarded).
  • A Diploma of Leadership and Management or equivalent (highly regarded).
