Team Leader Cleaning Services     At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.     Ongoing Full Time Located across the Hunter Central Coast region with flexible working arrangements available Clerk Grade 9/10 Salary ranging from $129,464 to $142,665 + super and annual leave loading                             Your chance to lead and shape a Newly Created Role         We’re looking for an experienced operations leader to join our Cleaning Services team and drive high-quality, customer-focused cleaning outcomes across the Hunter and Central Coast regions. As part of a newly established team, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting the standard for service excellence and building strong foundations from day one.   About the Role            In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day cleaning operations across your region, ensuring every site is maintained to a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.   Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering on cleaning standards and achieving KPI targets Overseeing team performance to ensure consistent service quality Leading and supporting a team of supervisors and cleaners across diverse sites and stakeholders Implementing effective systems and processes to enable and support frontline staff Analysing trends and insights to drive continuous improvement in operations Providing strong, hands-on leadership and coaching to build team capability Embedding a culture of service excellence, proactive safety, and ongoing improvement   For further information please Click here to view the role description   About you     You take pride in staying across the details of your operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Confident working across diverse sites, teams, and stakeholder groups, you’re driven by service excellence and continuous improvement.   You bring: Proven experience managing cleaning or facilities contracts, with a strong track record of meeting service standards and KPIs Expertise in contract compliance, WHS, and risk management practices Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and support others to succeed The ability to build effective relationships and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency Clear, practical communication skills—both written and verbal Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.     Essential requirements of the role Current and valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to site locations. Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
