Description As a Team Leader for Easterseals Iowa Daily Supported Community Living, you will provide direct supervision to our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure the highest-quality care for clients in our Daily Supported Community Living program. You will lead by example, fostering an environment of independence and excellence while ensuring all operational and compliance standards are met. Responsibilities Include: Team Leadership: Oversee the selection, onboarding, and continuous development of DSPs. Provide regular coaching, performance management, and monthly feedback sessions. Program Coordination: Manage the daily operations of assigned house(s), ensuring client needs are met, and care teams are fully informed. Client Advocacy: Develop and monitor client goals, facilitate annual staffing meetings, and maintain open, professional communication with guardians. Compliance & Administration: Ensure all client files meet agency and funder standards. Monitor team training compliance and maintain a working knowledge of all SCL regulations. Direct Support: Administer medications (per certification) and step into the "staffing ratio" as needed to ensure safe and effective client coverage. Operations: Collaborate with the Operations Team and House Managers to optimize scheduling and resource allocation. Our Values: At Easterseals, we lead with Integrity, Respect, and Excellence. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (or equivalent experience) preferred. Experience: At least 4 years in human services OR 1 year of direct care experience (preferably in independent living for people with disabilities). Certifications: Willing to obtain a Valid Class D (Chauffeur) license and an insurable driving record. Ability to obtain Medication Manager Certification within 90 days. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn agency-specific databases. Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift a minimum of 80 lbs. Availability: Must be able to work evenings/weekends as required and maintain a consistent on-call status.
