Team Leader – Electronic Systems Design (m/f/d)
As a Team Leader – Electronic Systems Design, you will lead a team of engineers in developing advanced electronic systems for space applications. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and team development, ensuring efficient project execution while fostering innovation and expertise within the team.
Your Tasks

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to a team of electronics design engineers
  • Plan and coordinate staff deployment across projects while supporting recruitment activities
  • Organize and provide technical training to enhance team members’ competencies
  • Conduct annual employee dialogues to set goals and assess performance
  • Actively contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of the electronics design process
  • Develop strategic competencies and technologies in the field of electronics
  • Report directly to the Head of the Electronic Systems department

Technical Responsibilities in Projects

  • Lead electronic systems and satellite instrument projects as the Electrical Lead Engineer
  • Review and validate design and manufacturing documentation prepared by the team
  • Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Analysis, and Structural Analysis, ensuring seamless electronic system integration
  • Support the preparation of OHB proposals related to electronics activities for both internal and external customers

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline with a focus on communication systems and data processing
  • Over three years of professional experience in electronics design for space projects or safety-critical applications
  • At least five years of experience as an Electrical Lead Engineer for complex optical satellite instruments
  • Extensive experience in requirements engineering using DOORS or similar tools
  • Proven track record in the technical management of a design team in a lead engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards for electronic engineering and design, in accordance with ECSS or MIL regulations
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a strong decision-making ability
