Permanent Full-time for North West Team primarily based in Albany Opportunity to lead, mentor and develop Play a key role in the future of Auckland plans and developments  He angitūtanga: The opportunityThe purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team of compliance staff while providing high-quality and customer focussed compliance service for the district and regional consents that will lead to positive environmental outcomes for Auckland.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the case management of all compliance in their area including regional and complex consents (major projects, network consents), for overseeing the implementation of a risk management approach to guide the delivery of compliance services, and the provision of technical expertise to the team. In addition, this position will be responsible for contributing to the development of strategic initiatives for the compliance function which are focused on business improvements and proactive initiatives that are targeted to reduce risk and improve environmental outcomes. This position will be accountable for the execution of these initiatives in their area. He kōrero mōu: About youYou will enhance performance and efficiencies by managing workload, responding to ever-changing business needs, and by mentoring and coaching your staff, enabling them to reach their potential. As an ambassador of customer service, you will drive your team to deliver an excellent level of service ensuring the customers’ needs and expectations are met. In order to develop and enthuse your team, a focus will be on creating a positive, dynamic, and professional team environment and in doing so enhancing the reputation of the team within the organisation and externally. The ideal person will have a related tertiary qualification, significant experience in a regulatory-related environment, and a demonstrated background in leadership.
