Location: UPMC Harrisburg Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm (every other weekend and holiday required) Purpose: Ensure the assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are properly cleaned according to the procedures established by the Environmental Services Department. Work with and coordinate assigned Environmental Services Aides. Responsibilities: In the absence of the shift supervisor, temporarily act in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor. Report problems and suggestions to the shift supervisor. Communicate with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments. Ensure that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in assigned area. Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the shift supervisor. Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair. Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor. Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures. HS Diploma/GED preferred. 2 years relevant experience required. experience with Microsoft Office preferred Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 34 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
