UPMC Mercy is seeking a full-time Team Leader to support their Housekeeping department! In this role, you will ensure the assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are properly cleaned according to the procedures established by the Environmental Services Department. Work with and coordinate assigned Environmental Services Aides. The full-time schedule will require working 40 hours per week, evening shifts of 2 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., and does include rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates with previous housekeeping or management experience are highly encouraged to apply! Responsibilities: In the absence of the shift supervisor, temporarily act in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor. Report problems and suggestions to the shift supervisor. Communicate with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments. Ensure that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in the assigned area. Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the shift supervisor. Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair. Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor. Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.
