Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

You will be working on the Exam team, responsible for leading a team of Exam Fitters. You will ensure safe, compliant, completion of Level 1 – 4 examinations within set deadlines in accordance with ATC instructions and customer VMI’s.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency and quality output at the relevant ATC Depot site.
  • Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures
  • Ensuring the compliance of the teams working to VMI’s, VOI’s and ATC work instructions
  • Liaising with Customers to ensure efficient work programmes are implemented and the resolution of technical problems
  • Assisting the training department in the development of competence assessments for Team Members
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all relevant personnel
  • Implementation of customer requirements
  • Mentoring and coaching of Team Members to ensure that they fulfil their job requirements and have the relevant training to do so
  • Ensuring work locations are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant standards
  • Ensuring the safe movement of vehicles whilst complying with the Safe Method Of Work procedure
  • Ensuring that team members are up to date with business communications
